I just finished shooting for Jonathon Wright on his family farm in Londonderry, VT. I’ve never met a farmer I didn’t like, and Jon and his crew are no exception. For the upcoming re-design of their Web site we shot cheesemaking (I tried to show most of the steps here), product shots and sleigh rides. If you have cabin fever and want to get out with the kids for a sleigh ride and try some of the half-dozen flavors of gouda cheese they offer, as well as jams, maple syrup, and lots of other goodies in the shop, give them a call and book a ride. 802-824-5690 http://taylorfarmvermont.com , and for more info on the cheese visit the Vermont Cheese Counsil http://www.vtcheese.com/members/taylor/taylor.htm

The farm is located right on Rt.11 just up the road from Bromley Mountain, you can't miss it...

This portrait is an anniversary of sorts for Susanna and Tom. We did this engagement session at their house one year ago today! Shown with their cat Zoe. Congrats you two.

In the spirit of the upcoming Valentine’s Day this Sunday, I thought I’d share this cocktail shot for an Oval Vodka campaign, which included 14 different cocktails for every occasion including Father’s Day, Tax Day, St. Pat’s, just to name a few. This particular drink was rather tasty and will be sure to please (forget the flowers guys).
Chocolate Seduction
1.5 oz Oval Vodka
1.5 oz Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
1 oz heavy cream
grated dark chocolate for garnish
Chill a medium sized (5 oz) martini glass; combine vodka, chocolate liqueur and heavy cream in shaker fill with ice; shake vigorously to blend and foam; strain into chilled glass. Garnish by “dusting” with chocolate.

I had a really good time shooting students modeling North Face apparel for the Nature’s Closet AD campaign this past Fall. Steve was planning on relocating his established business from Bennington to the heart of Williams College and needed some fresh advertising images. The students had a good time being models for a day and trying out the North Face gear. A special thanks to Jonah Spivak for the assistance that day with the reflector. I just shot the newly opened store in the freshly renovated building on Spring Street. A great location for sure. Good luck Steve!

Mr. Jackson donated these 4 additional Obama prints to MCLA as a gift

Mr. Jackson addresses the attendees at the exhibit.
I was privileged to meet Boston Globe Op-Ed columnist Derrick Jackson last night while shooting his photography exhibit at MCLA (http://www.MCLA.edu). Proceeds from the event benefited mulicultural programs and scholarships. He claims photography is a hobby, but I would pit his photography against any professional photographer out there. I was truly inspired to pursue more wildlife photography after viewing his work. His press credentials with the Globe allows access to political and sporting events that give him some enviable angles at events and his natural eye and talent are clear in his work. His Obama Inaugural and campaign photos are extraordinary.

Cheese Tortellini with Smoked Chicken, Cremini Mushrooms and Artichoke Hearts in Sundried Tomato Alfredo Sauce, Topped with Parmesan Shavings
Of all the food I have photographed for Perigee Restuarant, this is probably my favorite (to eat). Between the creamy sauce and the smokey chicken and tender artichoke hearts, well in a word—Yum.

Perigee Burger with grilled pita and horseradish aioli
It seems fitting to start my first culinary blog entry with a starter. This burger is hand ground in-house and one of the many delicious and unique tapas at Perigee Restaurant in Lee, MA (http://perigee-restaurant.com). If you follow this blog you will become very familiar with the fare at Perigee. The owner, Dawn LaRochelle, and her amazingly talented chefs have graciously allowed me to photograph many events and get in their way in the kitchen as they prepare one creative dish after another. LOTs more to come from this amazing restaurant story…
