About

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog. You can find my full bio on my Homepage (http://www.gregnesbit.com), but I come from a catalog and magazine background working as a print production manager and photographer for most of my professional life and have recently gone out on my own opening this studio at a time when businesses are struggling through one of the worse recessions of my lifetime. Ironically it may arguably be the best time to start a small business with the goal of providing a good product for a real value, and I can now compete with higher-overhead studios for the ever shrinking marketing budgets.

The purpose of this site is to better communicate with prospective clients and also to promote current ones. We’re all in business in one way or another, whether for money or recognition, and I’m a true believer in the 6 degrees of separation theory. I love to share my work with friends and family, and the more I learn about photography the more inspired I become to be a better photographer. I’m often humbled by others work and emulate the ones I like while respectfully appreciating others for their unique styles.

My parents were the driving force in what I’m doing now and always encouraged the entrepreneur in me and to follow my passion. So here I sit today in my studio with a lot of excitement (and to be honest some anxiety) for what the next day, week, or month will bring. Every event, gig, or session is different with ever changing problem solving, but the bottom line for me is to provide a service or image that exceeds their expectations for a good value. Whether it be for a small businessperson’s Web site or packaging, or a family’s portrait that will only gain in sentimental value with time.

Having said that, I hope my posts, images, and links will inspire, entertain and maybe provide some useful info. I have captured literally tens of thousands of images over the years whether they be on film or digital, and they have been gathering dust in idle hard drives and drawers long enough…enjoy!
